picoware Maps for Microsoft Access - ChangeLog

Semaphore added to MouseOver of markers
During the MouseOver event on a marker, a stack overflow sometimes occurred due to too many consecutive calls.
Using a semaphore, a new call of MouseOver is postponed until the previous one has been processed.

Automatic selection of zoom mode for tiles when Windows desktop is scaled
Screens resolution is becoming ever finer. This allows smoother displays of fonts and graphics, but also leads to images becoming smaller and harder to recognize. With Windows 10, it is therefore possible to set a screen scaling factor to enlarge those pictures again.
In Access you can set the Size Mode of an image control to 'Zoom', so the picture is zoomed to the size of the control. Unfortunately this scaling is not very exact in Access
and leads to unclean edges between the tiles. That's why the zoom mode has not been used so far.

| Starting with this version picoware Maps checks the scaling factor of the Windows desktop and automatically turns on the zoom if it is not 100%. |

Selectable tile server and additional server for overlays
There are several substantial improvements:
- With the tile server, you are no longer locked into OpenStreetMap. Now you can use any tile server you like.
- The tile servers are managed in a table. So you can compile your own collection.
- You now can use a second map layser as overlay.
There are several providers on the web that deliver additional information on transparent tiles.
As an example, we show railroad routes provided by OpenRailwayMap
